While those lists can be helpful, I’ve always thought they miss something important. The albums that get you into jazz may not be the same albums that got me into jazz.

In this video, I’m sharing the 10 albums that pulled me into jazz—from Chick Corea and Jeff Lorber to Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Bill Evans, and more. These records became my gateway to jazz and eventually led me to the classic albums everyone talks about.
